Peter Cole, named after the great reggae legend Peter Tosh by his parents Beverly Moore and Cyril Cole, was born on August 5th in Kingston, Jamaica. Today, he is well known as “Bittah So Sicka,” one of the hottest lyricists from Jamaica. Music has always been an innate calling for him, his uncle, veteran 90’s producer Courtney Cole, and his father Cyril Cole, also known as Tony World, was a promoter and music lover who always talked about touring the world but met an untimely death. Therefore, Peter decided to follow in his fathers’ footsteps to achieve this dream. Peter fell in love with music in 1993 at the tender age of 10 years old when he first performed on a stage in his community at the Ernie Smith Talent Show. He came in at 2nd place singing one of Beenie Man’s hit songs, “Matey A Nuh Good Sittn”. He won a prize of $500 in this competition. However, this was just the beginning.

Peter’s father, Tony World was good friends with the reggae legend, Peter Tosh, Half Pint and Junior Reid. While Peter was growing up, talent frequently surrounded him. He watched the excitement as his father and friends organized major events in his community.

Not only is Peter a musician, he is also an intellectual. Peter earned a full scholarship to Kingston Technical High in 1997 after excelling the Common Entrance Examination. After leaving Kingston Technical, he attended the Caribbean School of Business and soon entered corporate Jamaica working as a Data Entry Clerk, a Telemarketing Sales Clerk and as an Assistant Engineer.

As many budding musicians can relate, Peter soon grew tired of the corporate world as his passion for music matured. He began to perfect his craft and as his freestyle techniques improved, he became “Bittah So Sicka,” a name given to him by his friends. He soon became more confident as an artiste and with the encouragement of his friends Bittah decided to pursue music as a career. The moment he started to take his career seriously, he was given the opportunity to collaborate with some of Jamaica’s renowned production companies like Tremma House Productions where he released his hit single, “Thank God It’s Friday.” While working with Imperial Bash Productions, he released, “If Money Was A Woman.” His collaboration with Washroom Entertainment resulted in the release of “Jah Inna Mi Life” and “Enough Sweat.” While his most recent partnership is currently with Redsquare Productions where he proudly released his hit single, “Mr. Wucky Wucky.” Being influenced by great musicians such as Spragga Benz, Sizzla Kalonji, Beenie Man, Bounty Killa and Vybz Kartel just to name a few, Bittah So Sicka is surely an artiste to watch throughout 2015 and beyond!
